From
the time Northwest Tool & Die began constructing tools in 1968,
it has been committed to building robust high quality dies. These
values have led Northwest to become the leader in progressive, transfer,
& line dies. Over the years we have learned to blend the skilled
craftsmanship of our many talented Die Makers with the most sophisticated
software and hardware to provide our customers with the finest dies
in the world. In 1996 Northwest became an employee owned company,
this was brought about by the company founders, Tom O'Keefe &
Dick Alflen who were trying to find a way to retire and reward the
employees for their hard work and dedication.
Northwest has supplied quality tools to
the automotive, office furniture, appliance, and hardware industries.
When part data is received from the customer, it is immediately
reviewed by upper management, design, and die makers to determine
the best method of part layout and die construction.
This is when northwest vast knowledge in
die construction and innovation in tooling is
demonstrated. Upon review and implementation of your tooling standards,
we use the most effective method of construction that may include
nitrogen manifolds, cast die sets, and cast tool steels. This is
something you wouldn't receive from your typical die shop.
Many parts can be produced in a progressive
die, but when they can't a transfer tool is the next best thing.
Even before transfers systems were popular Northwest patented its
own transfer to satisfy its customers
needs.
Over the years Northwest has produced dies for presses from 60 ton
to 2000 ton, this has been accomplished through the support of skilled
employees and the latest of equipment capacities.
