ENGINEERING AND PROGRAMMING CAPABILITIES

Engineering Department equipped with high power PC's running Unigraphics, Ideas, Catia, Cadkey , Cimatron Solids and AutoCad with a HP 1050-color plotter and a Vidar Truescan 36” print scanner.  CNC Programming Department running Cimatron, Master Cam and Catia. Four stations equipped with machine programming capabilities and one station equipped for programming EDM wire.  All workstations are networked using Windows 2000. This system has IGES and DXF translation capabilities.  Northwest Tool & Die is presently using a combination of Microsoft ฎ Project and Shop Works™ software coupled with custom office software to track and drive all efforts.

 

PERSONNEL

Northwest Tool & Die employs 80-90 people with a full second shift and has an apprenticeship program approved by the Grand Rapids Apprenticeship Bureau, United States Department of Labor, the Veteran’s Administration and the National Tooling and Machining Association Training School.
